Dr Sidhu specialises in the treatment of all areas of Colorectal and General Surgery including bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, rectal bleeding, haemorrhoids, hernias and gall bladder disease. Dr Sidhu is GESA accredited to perform both gastroscopies and colonoscopies. He is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon who practices minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Sidhu completed his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2008. He completed his General Surgery training and became the Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2017. He underwent 4 years of further sub-speciality training in colorectal surgery and is a member of the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).
Dr Sidhu has keen interest in research, teaching and advocacy. He is well published in various national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has held clinical lecturer positions at University of New South Wales and University of Tasmania. He has previously held positions as the trainee representative on the Australian Board of General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Outside of work Dr Sidhu loves to spend time with his young family. He likes to keep fit by running and playing tennis. He loves to cook and is an avid Sydney Swans supporter.
